The Biostat 2000 provides the initial force for tap water to rid itself of excess lime. The composition of the water remains the same; nothing is added or taken away. The release of fine electrical impulses stimulates the production of seed crystals with lime-bonding properties. After becoming attached, they are carried down and washed away without being deposited in pipes, heating elements or the surfaces of the appliances and fixtures.

Our Opinion
Cost and height (855mm) will prohibit the majority of domestic installations. We feel it is most suited to large domestic and commercial properties requiring high performance in alleviating the problems of hard water without resorting to conventional water softeners. It is fitted directly onto the incoming main. Storage tanks or break tanks have no detrimental effect to its efficiency. With the proposed mandatory fitting of blending valves to guarantee temperatures at all hot appliances and the associated limescale problems that will no doubt occur thereafter, this appliance will be a most economical and efficient installation. Available in 22mm, 28m and 42mm pipe sizes.
